Finally Finished!

Here she is, my first paper clay doll. What a great medium. This has been quite a learning experience and I can't wait to make more dolls.
Now the problem at hand; what to name her? I had planned to call her 'Fanny' for Fanny Price of Jane Austin's, Mansfield Park, but I don't really like the name Fanny. (I'm suddenly thankful that my Mother didn't name me Fanny!) Sooo, any suggestions for a name for her??

  5. I like the special touches, such as the parasol and her hat.

  6. She's lovely! I think since she's the first star of the blog, she should be
    "Miss Daphne".

  7. Oh Debbie! How sweet. But really a "Miss Daphne' would simply have to have a dog head like my avatar. A much closer resemblance to the original... tee hee! I feel inspired to make one but must first finish a couple more of the works in progress that crowd my work table.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments!

    Love, Daphne

  8. Miss Marie, the parasol was a gift from one of her admirers but I fashioned the bonnet from a little straw hat. I may do a little tutorial on how to make a Regency era bonnet from a ready made straw hat if anyone is interested in how to do them.

Paperia. I'm getting out of control here, but I couldn't resist. She is lovely and deserves a proper name. I think she is an Emma.
